"You have never experienced anything like butter that a dog has eaten and barfed up."
Amy has a new steam cleaner.  Her floors sparkle.
One pound of butter, in the box.

  1. Sparkle--yes, that they do. But let's not mislead the blog reading population into believing that a steam cleaner will be all they need to combat the embedded grease and rancid odor of barfed up butter. It's definitely a requirement in such a situation, but it is but the *tip* of the iceberg, lemme tell you.

  2. I had a similar incident years ago with a large tub of margarine. What compels them to eat the entire thing, I wonder?
And why do dogs find the one patch of white carpet in the whole house to repeatedly barf on? I am, also, a new proud owner of a steam cleaner. It's useful to have your own when repeat (and repeat and repeat) use is called for.

    1. Gisele! I'm comforted to know that someone else has had this revolting experience! It's like a little club. In my case, the "one patch of white carpet" was my sofa that can't be simply washed in the washer. (Whatever with your drying cleaning instructions, Ikea--I scrubbed the hell out of the upholstery in hot running water with lots of soap and hung it to dry.) And congratulations on your steam cleaner--they're really darn handy, and I have to say, a clean carpet *is* pretty nice.

    1. Um...? Not sure, but I can clarify that the box was eaten along with the butter, if that's what you're referring to. Blech.
