•when you forget, you forget•

In my mom's group (which includes a few good stay-at-home dads, too), we have a tradition. If someone has a new baby, I organize a dinner brigade for them. Two weeks of dinner-on-the-doorstep, every other night. Awesome idea, right? Super fun for all, no? Except when the (half-assed, remember?) organizer forgets to show up with a meal on her night! Last night, my poor friends with their toddler and brand new infant went hungry on my account. What to do, what to do? Obviously, Thai delivery tonight... xox

  1. Oh, honey! I'm sorry--that's just the worst feeling. But if it helps, it's really only the worst feeling for *you*. The truth is, I'm certain they didn't starve.

  2. And... I forgot again last night. Remembered about an hour after, and was able to do a quick "save." Where exactly is my brain? xox

  3. Maybe your brain is trying to tell you that you have plenty of humans to care for right now without adding in other families. Just a thought.
