We're still winding down from Halloween, over here. Transitioning into our cold-toed, hibernatory phase. Counting down to winter, one snug night at a time. xox

  1. How do you manage not to curl around him and snuffle him all night? Also: My God, he looks so long and little boy-like here. Where's the toddler?!?

  2. Oh, and also--is he sleeping with a baby pumpkin? Cutest thing ever.

  3. Troy said that neither the baby pumpkin, nor the hello-kitty-dressed-as-a-devil (probably looks like a little red blivet) were there when he put Penn to bed. Someone snuck out, collected those bits, then fell asleep.

It is too cute to just leave there, isn't it? Most nights I do snuffle it to pieces. Troy has the patience to convince Penn to sleep in his room. (This picture is from an odd night when I got home quite late from work.) I figure what's the point--he always wakes and clambers back into the "big badu" with us. When he's forty, he'll be sleeping in his own bed. Not worried.

  4. What a cutie.

Oh I would love to hear the story in Penn's head about the mini pumpkin and hello-kitty-dressed-as-a-devil.

  5. Oh, seriously--would love to know what the pumpkin and the devil-kitty meant to him. So funny.

  6. He likes to take "sleep toys" with him to bed. As in, Mommy, this is my sleep loader and my sleep forklift... xox

  7. Sure, well, who among us hasn't felt the need for a sleep forklift from time to time?
